HER-conomy Participant Winner of BIPOC Women in Tech Pitch Competition

When a business lacks capital, it is like a marathoner running a marathon without proper hydration – It will collapse.

Canadian Imperial Advantage (CIA) is an Edmonton based not-for-profit organization that offers a comprehensive suite of services to support businesses, including business advisory support, ACCESS TO CAPITAL, business development and accounting support, mentorship and coaching, training, and workshop.

We are passionate about providing high quality service to entrepreneurs across Canada. Our mission is to make quality business support services accessible to all, regardless of their race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, economic status, and other diverse backgrounds.

CIA has supported over 300 entrepreneurs with business advisory services and capacity development programs. As of today, we have also provided and facilitated access to capital for about 60 businesses (18 in priority sectors) through our business incubator and accelerator programs.

But don’t just take our word for it – check out what our customers have to say.

We were pleased to announce that Kelise Williams, HER-conomy participant and owner of UpRow, a virtual marketplace for immigration professionals and immigrants, won the just concluded BIPOC Women in Tech Pitch Competition. This is the second event of the BIPOC Rural Tech Founders event series, and it is proudly hosted by Innovate Calgary.

We are proud to have been able to help Kelise through our acceleration program with coaching, access to capital, and business advisory services.
